Join Andrea and Henley for an hour of deep rest.
Traditional Yoga Nidra with Andrea + Sound Bath with Henley
Thursday, October 29 | 5:30 to 6:30 PM
Yoga Nidra, often called yogic sleep, is a guided meditation practiced lying down. This class follows the traditional structure. You start by setting a sankalpa, a short personal intention. Andrea then guides your awareness through the body, the breath and contrasting sensations, bringing you to the state between awake and asleep. Your body gets deep rest while your mind stays just aware enough to follow her voice. A sound bath runs through the practice to help you settle in and stay there.
Benefits of Yoga Nidra:
Lowers stress and moves your body out of fight-or-flight mode
Supports better sleep, especially if you have trouble falling or staying asleep
Eases anxiety and racing thoughts
Releases physical tension you may not realize you’re holding
Leaves you clearer and more focused afterward
Gives you an intention, your sankalpa, to carry with you after class
No experience needed and no poses to hold. If you can lie down, you can take this class.
Tea is served after class, so stay a few minutes before heading back into your evening.
What to bring: a clean beach towel to cover the blankets we provide. Dress warm and comfortable. Socks and layers help, since your body cools down as you rest.
